01/2012 - WE HAVE MINNOWS !!

Fishing Tip 1: When you're fishing on overcast-cloudy-rainy days or the very early morning or at sunset, don't hesitate to try some dark color patterns including purples and blacks. Stripers can't see very well in dimly lit waters so you have to shift your fishing techniques . As the sun starts to shine switch back to your chartreuse or whites.

Fishing tip 2: When marking Stripers at a particular depth, keep your lure ABOVE them. Those Stripers don't look down. They swim looking up and that's where you want to place your lure.

Fishing Tip 3: When the tides are moving, fish will feed. When the moon is full fish will feed all night long so when you fish for them in the morning, they are already full. Fishing the following day after dark nights with only one tide change is the best time to get your quota.

FYI... We are a check in station for your citation sized fish. Stop by, we'll take all the pertinent information and issue you your citation if you qualify... AND we'll take your picture and put it on this website for all to see. Don't forget to smile!
